For full-day (8-hrs) guided trips plan to meet at the lake / river by 7:00a. During the heat of summer we may start earlier. 4 – 6 hour trips will typically leave at the same time as a full day. Sometimes we will plan a trip on the Delaware river or Upper Cheseapeke Bay around the best tides. However we are always willing to work with the clients needs and will plan a trip around your availability; schedule permitting.

We’re running a 2022 Xpress X19 Pro (19′-6″) Bass Boat. It is rated for a maximum of 4-people and is equipped with a 175 HP 4-stroke Yamaha outboard, with the latest Garmin electronics, including GPS mapping, Live-Scope (forward facing sonar), down-scan and side-scan sonar.

NJBF Tours is able to offer boating/fishing tours on our Express X19 Pro Bass Boat on almost any lake in New Jersey that has full-size boat access, including: Lake Hopatcong, Lake Assunpink, Spruce Run Reservoir, Manasquan Reservoir, Union Lake and others.

We also fish the Delaware River extensively between Trenton, NJ to South of Philadelphia, PA; including the lower Schuylkill River and the Northern Chesapeake Bay (out of North East, MD).

We go where our experience has shown to be most productive for us over the years depending on the time of year.

We will cover the entire lake as needed to catch fish or simply motor around to see the sights.

The largest lake in NJ is approximately 2,600 acres. So we’re never out of sight of land.

On the other hand we’ll run 20-30 miles up & down the Delaware River, hitting different spots during the course of a trip in order to fish specific areas when the tide(s) are the best.

We will generally go if the forecast only calls for rain. We will cancel if Thunderstorms are forecast.

Our beginners, kids learn, and sightseeing tours are all inclusive. You literally just need to dress appropriately, we’ll provide the rest including: Fishing Rods, Lures or Bait. We have an assortment of quality spinning and casting rod & reel setups from some of the top manufacturers including: Diawa, Schimano, AbuGarcia, and SixGill.

As of now up to 3 guests / anglers can be accommodated on our Express X19 Pro Bass-Boat. We plan to expand our capacity to 6 in the future. Check back for updates.

A NJ fishing license is needed in any of the NJ lakes we fish and the Delaware River. We do fish a private lake in PA that does not require any fishing license. CLICK THIS LINK TO APPLY FOR A FISHING LICENSE IN NJ

Our favorite target species is the Largemouth Bass, the most popular game-fish in the world. The waters we fish are abundant with them. In addition we often catch: Smallmouth Bass, Calico Bass (Crappie), CatFish and other assorted Pan-fish (Suny’s, Blue-Gills), Yellow Perch, Pickerel, the occasional Musky and Stripped Bass when they’re in season in the Delaware River.

Not only is it ok to bring children but we encourage it.
Minimum recommended age for children planning to participate is 5-years old.

NJBF Tours operates several tours a day. During busy seasons (End of March through end of June, and Sept-Nov), we try to stick to a schedule. The departures also depend on how a day fills up which could be a combination of 2 and 4 hour tours.

So the rule of thumb is our earliest departure is at 8 pm and our latest is 1 pm.
